Ayden Jacobs

Ayden Jacobs, 21, is from Salisbury Massachusetts where he grew up spending time outdoors and developed a deep fascination with nature. He is a graduating senior at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) with a degree in Wildlife Conservation Biology. Ayden earned his open water certification in 2021 and immediately fell in love with marine systems and wildlife. In 2023, he received his American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) scientific diving certification at UNH and is currently a teaching assistant for the basic scuba course at UNH.

Ayden spent the 2023 summer diving for UNH in Great Bay and the Piscataqua River assisting with eelgrass research. He is fascinated with marine ecosystems and species and hopes to explore the world through diving while making connections all around the world.

Ayden is honored to be chosen as the 2024 American Academy of Underwater Sciences Mitchell Scientific Diving Research Intern and is excited to expand his knowledge and experience while diving in a new area. He hopes to build lasting relationships in the community that could further his diving explorations and contributions to marine research.
