Trystan L. Cavitt is a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, pursuing a B.S. degree in cell and molecular biology. He plans to pursue postgraduate education in the coming years, taking a strong interest in medical school and eventually anesthesiology. He was recently certified as a NAUI Divemaster and has spent much of the past 2 years as an intern at his local dive shop, gaining experience in preparation for becoming a NAUI Instructor. Trystan spends his time diving springs, wrecks, and reefs throughout central and south Florida. He looks forward to being the Dr. Glen H. Egstrom Divers Alert Network (DAN) Diver’s Health and Safety Research Intern as this internship will serve as a strong foundation for him to shape and hone his skills as he pursues a future in cave diving and hyperbaric medicine.
