Darby Elizabeth Lambert, 20, is from Starke, Florida. She will be starting her senior year of college at Florida State University where she is studying marketing and obtaining her dive master and science diver certifications through the dive courses at FSU. In these dive courses, Darby has obtained her rescue diver certification, cavern diver certification, advanced open water certification, and is currently training for her science diver certification. Darby has developed a strong love for diving and is passionate about expanding her knowledge of the underwater world.

In the coming Fall term, Darby will start training in courses for underwater crime scene investigation and other underwater research. She aspires to have a career that encompasses her love for diving and her desire to help others. She hopes to be a role model for other young women hoping to step outside of their comfort zones to explore the world beneath the water’s surface.

Darby is thrilled to be named the 2024 Dr. Glen H. Egstrom DAN Diver’s Health and Safety Outreach Intern.
