If you are having trouble accessing or using the online application, you may download and mail the Scholarship application or Internship application to the appropriate regional office.

If an applicant is experiencing problems uploading documents onto their online application, please send all supplemental materials and documents via mail to the appropriate regional office by the scholarship deadline.

Completed Scholarship applications must be RECEIVED via the online application no later than:

December 31, 2011 North American Application
(to be considered for the 2012 scholarship)

December 31, 2011 European Application
(to be considered for the 2012 scholarship)

January 31, 2012 Australasian Application
(to be considered for the 2012 scholarship)

Scholarship applicants are required to submit 4 letters of recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from teachers or professors from whom you have taken classes and two letters of recommendation from persons in your community.

Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society® can only accept recommendation letters directly from the referees. As a result, please include the name and contact information of any referees as part of your online application. Those referees will then receive emails directly from Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society® requesting letters of recommendation. For more information, please see FAQ.

Official transcripts need to be sent directly to the correct regional office from your school’s registrar. The Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society® requires each applicant submit their official transcript(s) through the most current semester. Unofficial transcript(s) can be uploaded online but official transcript(s) must be sent to the proper regional office.

A personal interview will be required of all scholarship finalists.

Application fees for the North American scholarships and internships are payable online via paypal or check in US currency mailed to the OWUSS office address. The North American Scholarship Application Fee is $50 and the North American Internship Application Fees are $25 per internship.

Application fees for the European (50 Sterling) and Australasian (50 AUS Dollars) application should be made by sending a check to the respective addresses below.
